Olive Phillips Kindergarten (OPK) is a local government kindergarten set in the leafy beachside suburb of Beaumaris. It has played a significant role in education and care for the children and families in Bayside- mainly Beaumaris, since the 1940’s.

We cater for children aged 3-5 years in a beautiful mid- century architecturally designed indoor and outdoor sanctuary for the children. The kindergarten boasts outstanding facilities and maintains excellent connections within the community including local primary schools, community services such as Beaumaris art group, local businesses, maternal child health centre and allied health professionals.

As a family oriented centre we take pride in the fact we have nurtured generations of families in their early years at OPK with grandparents, their children and grandchildren often attending OPK during their kindergarten years.

We offer one three year old group and one four year old group enabling the children and families to build connections and friendships with one another that are often continued from three year old kindergarten, four year old kindergarten and through to the primary school years and beyond.

We employ highly qualified early childhood teachers who undertake the design, implementation and evaluation of the curriculum. Our teaching teams work closely with families, specialist teachers in the visual arts, universities and local organisations to provide high quality teaching and learning programs.

OPK is managed by members of a dedicated volunteer parent committee, OPK Director and staff.
